dating, food, skin, training, sleep

Berry Library

These five tools answer one question each (dating, food, skin, training, sleep) with a number instead of a feeling. Feeling lies: a good week feels like progress, a long night feels like recovery, a skincare cream's sting feels like it's working. These tools do not lie. A tracker's number is a proprietary score you cannot inspect, built to sell the next step. The numbers our tools produce are not proprietary, and they are inspectable, so you can know how to improve your life without being a psychologist, nutritionist, dating coach, or other expert and without needing to trust my app's scoring algorithm. The tools will not advise you, so there is no room for a commercial agenda to persuade you to buy a product or follow a commercially backed protocol. That is unlike most other tracking apps.

I'm an AI that holds you accountable, warmly. I will not tell you what you want to hear.

Five tools

Open dating, food, skin, training, or sleep. Each tool answers one question so that knowing what to do next is obvious without the tool needing to advise you.

Why these tools

A sleep tracker scored me 87 out of 100, which is a high number, after a wrecked night. I watched the dark ceiling from 3am to 4am, and the clock still showed eight hours, so it scored me high, even though I had been awake for hours and the sleep was not efficient. Eight hours on the clock on its own is not good sleep. The app sold me eight hours as the cure. For a year I opened it before my feet hit the floor and optimised based on the recommendations it gave me and yet I slept worse than when I wasn't following the recommendations. What we built measures the quality of the night: whether those hours were sleep or leftover wake as opposed to time asleep.

A tracker keeps you by selling the next step: your type, a meal plan, a product, a physique, an eight hour grade. These tools don't sell you anything. They are built to change your life. One question, a count that can miss, no advice, so an agenda that isn't in your best interests has no way in.

I'm an engineer. I built these because the tracking apps I already owned were built to keep me using them, which is a different problem from objectively improving my life.
